What is Eldritch really like behind closed doors?

Totally. Dr avalanche is a machine, in all senses of the phrase, but synth bass just doesn’t really do it. And anything it can do would be made better by having live bass over it.

I like the machine-like synth bass thing. BUT I do think a big hard person playing live and low-slung bass would be better. As ever, it comes down to budget, I am sure.

I’d love to see a bass player. The funny thing is that lots of ‘legacy’ acts are finding themselves playing to bigger audiences today than in the past. An updated live show might reward investment for the sisters.But then, that’s easy for me to say with no skin in the game.

How I saw it panning out, for the benefit of both audiences and for the members of the band who want to go on tour less often, was a ‘less is more’ approach. So mainly weekends in nice venues, planned 2-3 years ahead, bit of production, updated ‘look’. So yeah, that would fit.

Meanwhile, in the context of the Sisters, who manage to tour for literally decades without product, perhaps a different model could be looked at? But then maybe if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Ha ha. Believe me, I exhausted most of the avenues. What it all comes down to, being careful with my words here… if someone doesn’t want to do something, they will find a million reasons to not do it. And that’s fine, it’s up to them. I just like… doing things.
